BetOven works while the computer is running. The longer it runs, the more opportunities it can act on.
The software bets with your money in your own accounts. Without balance it can't operate.

If you have Avast, AVG, Norton or similar, uninstall them before you start. Disabling them is not enough: the first time you open BetOven it finishes installing some secondary files that drive the browsers, and these antivirus programs read them as a threat. With Windows Defender there's no problem at all — you can install with it running.
BetOven needs Windows, so on a Mac there are two routes:
1. Parallels. You virtualise Windows on your own Mac and install BetOven inside it. If yours is an older Intel Mac, a virtual machine works too.
2. A server with BetOven pre-installed. You install nothing on your Mac and the software keeps working even when the Mac is off: you connect from the Mac, your phone or a tablet. How to hire a server.

It asks for this the first time you sign in. It's what makes it impossible for even us to see your bookmaker credentials. It cannot be recovered: if you lose it you have to start with a new profile, so keep it where you keep important things.
That's Windows blocking a file downloaded from the internet. Right-click the installer → Properties → at the bottom, tick Unblock → OK. Then open it again.
